Cana90 Week 6: Palm Sunday and Holy Week

Most of the crowd spread their garments on the road, and others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road. And the crowds that went before Him and that followed Him shouted, “Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!

Matthew 21:8-9

This week in the Cana90 will be Holy Week, the climax of the Church’s liturgical year. We are just about at the halfway point, so there will be a transition of your commitments and focus from discipline to thanksgiving and celebration. No matter when you are using Cana90, the following reflections may serve to inspire and move you closer to your family and to Christ.

This week we will be commemorating the Triduum, the three-day celebration of Christs’ Passion, Death, and Resurrection. This is an extraordinary time to spend with our spouses and children to reflect and pray together. You’ll notice that on every day of the Triduum, we have included family activities and discussion questions. You might want to read ahead to glance at those activities to better prepare and plan for this special time!

If you can’t attend church on these special days, here are our home services so that you can do parts of the liturgy at home with your children.

Seder Meal for Holy Thursday
Home service for Good Friday

Sunrise service for Easter Sunday

And here’s a link to a download for celebrating all the Holy Week services at home from Palm Sunday as well as Easter.

The Cana90 emails for this week contain lots of ideas for family celebrations. If you’re not receiving the emails, you can sign up here: Cana90 email.
