For some couples, praying together is very natural but for others prayer may feel awkward or forced. But, the truth is that there is real power in spouses praying together. So how can couples pray together more?
You can bless each other and your children in the morning or engage in communal prayer together like the rosary or the mass. You can also ask your spouse how you can pray for them. Intercede for them and their needs throughout your day as you are driving or cleaning.
When parents need guidance in making decisions for the family, this is when the two of you should come before the Lord in faith and ask for help. And, when you fall or make poor choices, you should also repent together and ask the Lord for his forgiveness and mercy.
Growing in your prayer life is an essential way to develop and deepen your relationship, but also a way for you to support your spouse and love them more profoundly. A three-fold cord is not easily broken.
