Messy Family Minute #49: All Saints Day

This is a Messy Family Minute with Mike and Alicia Hernon.

Welcome to fall and the great celebrations that we have as Catholics during this time of year. After the feasts of Guardian angels, the archangels, St. Francis, St. Therese the Little Flower, we feel like it culminates in All Saints Day! What a wonderful time to celebrate the older brothers and sisters who have gone before us to win the crown of life!

It is amazing that saints come in all shapes and sizes. Any situation you find yourself in, you can find a saint who has been there. There are many great books with short stories about the saints that you can easily read at dinner time or before bed. There are saints who were children and bravely protected the Eucharist, saints struggled in school, and saints who were quiet and shy.

There are saints who loved animals, who juggled, who were spies, who were nurses, doctors, and even firefighters! The saints show us that our path to heaven is unique and unrepeatable.
