Keep the faith alive in the family
Most Catholic families attend Mass together on Sunday. Attending church as a family is the primary way most families distinguish the Lord’s Day from every other day. When there is no mass available, what can the faithful do to set aside this day for the Lord? We do need to be clear – the Eucharist is the fount and summit of our faith. Nothing we do in the home can replace that. But when we, the faithful, are separated from the Eucharist, how can we celebrate the Lord’s Day in our homes? We are here to help!
We have created a simple prayer service for you to use this Sunday in your home. We have incorporated scripture readings, intercessions, links for music, and tips from our own experience of praying with our family. This resource is free for you! Just fill out the form below and you can access the download to print and use this Sunday.
“The family is, so to speak, the domestic church. In it, parents should, by their word and example, be the first preachers of the faith to their children.”
– Lumen Gentium No 11.
