Cana 90 – Second Week of Easter Wednesday
Belief in What is Unseen
Thomas answered and said to him, “My Lord and my God!”
~ John 20:28
Have you ever heard someone whisper “My Lord and my God” at the elevation of the Host or Chalice during the consecration at Mass?
Saying “My Lord and My God” echos the words of Thomas upon recognizing the fully alive and resurrected Christ in the upper room. By praying this simple scripture lay faithful make an act of belief that the bread and wine have truly and fully been transformed into the body and blood of Jesus in the Eucharist.
Take some time this week to talk with your children and/or spouse about where God is, in your relationships and family, but may be difficult to see or comprehend.
