Cana 90 – Fifth Week of Easter Friday
Love is a Verb
“I give you a new commandment: love one another. As I have loved you, so you also should love one another. This is how all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
~ John 13:34-35
How do we love in a way that Jesus will know we are his disciples?
What does it mean to love one another? Specifically in our families and then as a family those we are called to serve and minister to?
In this sense the verb love that Jesus is using is Agape, which is the type of love that desires and wills the good for another person. Above all else agape love wants others to encounter Christ in us through our actions and words so they too may know, love, and serve Him.
This can come in many forms, both within our families, where it needs to extend from us to those in our families, and outside our families where love needs to extend from our family and it’s members to others in our community.

How can we as a couple love our family better?
How can we as a family love our community better?
